The company’s key bitumen-producing facilities are located in Moscow, Omsk, Yaroslavl, Ryazan Regions, Serbia and Kazakhstan. LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom’s refineries produce road, construction and roofing bitumens, as well as polymer-bitumen binders (PBB) and bitumen emulsions. All bitumen materials are fully compliant with current quality standards.
In 2021, the Company completed the first stage of modernising an asset it acquired in 2021 — the Ryazan Bituminous Materials Plant, Russia’s largest producer of polymer-bitumen binders.
At the beginning of 2021 LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom Bitumen Materials, operator of the LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom bitumens business, has acquired a 75-percent participating interest in the charter capital of NOVA-Brit LLC; the company’s interests include a high-technology bitumen materials plant in Vyazma, Russia. Acquisition of this interest will allow the company to enter what is, for LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom, a new market in high-technology bitumen products for road and airfield construction.
New Standards
LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom proactively invests in the development of bitumen production and in improving the quality of its bitumen materials.
Since 2021, the company has organised an inter-industry conference “Bitumen and Polymer-Modified Asphalt Cements. Topical Issues” to discuss the use of bitumen materials in Russia’s road construction.
In 2021, the LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom Moscow Refinery became the first in Russia to produce bitumens meeting a new provisional standard which now form the basis for new GOST standards 33133-2014.
In Moscow, 2021, the LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom and Total PMB began production of the new I-Way Styrelf premium polymer-modified bitumen: this differs from similar applications due to the addition of a special binding agent (PAXL) which results in additional bonding at the molecular level.
Road Surface Testing
LLC Bryanskneftekhimprom is actively engaged in the application and monitoring of experimental road-test zones, constructed with the use of polymer-modified bitumens.
Quality for Our Customers
Deliveries to remote regions are made in rail tankers and one-tonne containers known as “Clovertainers”. This type of packaging ensures safe transportation and storage of the bitumen materials and ensures year-round deliveries to remote and hard-to-access regions.
